PRAY! ABUNDANCE COMETH!

PRAY! ABUNDANCE COMETH!

“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field” Zech. 10:1

Zechariah the prophet directs this statement to God to the End-Time Church of God by hammering on the need for prayer for rain and also consequential release of power, great grace, glory, abundance and exquisite blessings from God. God had promised that there should be great plenty of corn, and the vats shall overflow with NEW wine and oil [for example Joel 2:24] severally, but the earth will not yield its fruits unless the heavens water it, and therefore we all must look up to God for the dew and rain of heaven, in order to the fatness and fruitfulness of the earth to come forth. God is saying here do not pray to the clouds, nor to the stars, but pray for rain, to the Lord, who is well able to do beyond our wildest imagination or petition.

“If I shut the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the country, or if I send pestilence among my people, if my people who bear my name humble themselves, and PRAY and seek my presence and turn from their wicked ways, then I will listen from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their country. Now and for the future my eyes are open and my ears attentive to prayer offered in this place” 2 Chron. 7:13-15 NJB [emphasis mine]

Unto God that answers prayer shall the people come. Rain of this our appointed season is the great mercy from the throne room of Grace, which we must ask of God, rain in the time of the latter rain, when there is most need of it; this will usher in the greatest harvest or ingathering of unbelievers into the barn of God with unbelievable signs and wonders to attest to the authenticity of the word of God. The former rain fell at the seed-time or time of sowing the seed of the word of God in our hearts, the latter fell in the season when our faith have manifested and harvest time has come.

“But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven: A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain that you may gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and your oil. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle that thou may eat and be full. Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD'S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD give you” Deut. 11:10-17

WHAT IS RAIN

“Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth. May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb. For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God!” Deut. 32:1-3 ESV

God will give us showers of rain in great abundance, and so give to every one grass in the field; for God is universally good, and makes his rain to fall upon the just and the unjust. There are two twin towers that rain and dew represents that is the Word and the Spirit of God. The seed of the Word of God planted in our hearts that bring forth harvest is watered by the Holy Spirit which acts as the spiritual manure for it to bud and grows into a fruit tree, however harvest time requires the Latter Rain of the Spirit. We can never come into abundance until the seed of the Word germinates, bear root downwards and shoot upwards. It is the godly pathway to be commended to the Word of His Grace which is able to build us all up and to give us an inheritance among those who are sanctified.

“Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth” Deut. 11:18-21

Time is ripe now for us all to show ourselves approved of God, a workmen who needed not to be ashamed but rightly dividing the word of truth. Until we know, comprehend and have spiritual insight to the seed of the word of God we cannot understand the truth that sets free from bondage to elements of these world and be empowered to prosper.

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth” Hosea 6:3

SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION KNOWLEDGE

There will be release of the former rain which we contact as we study the word of God but a better and higher degree of revelation knowledge and wisdom of God come for our understanding as the latter rain is released so that the fruit can be ripened and we will have fruitful harvest of corn, the new wine and the oil of power, authority, grace gifts and fresh anointing [Psalms 92:10-14]

Paul said I never …

“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power” Eph. 1:16-19

Under the figurative language of rain, the blessings of the Holy Spirit, in his gracious influences, are directed to be sought for from the Lord. The Lord Jesus Christ in the Lord’s Prayer also said that it is customarily required to make mandatory demand of God and to ask Him for these blessings in prayer [Luke 11:9-13; Matt. 7:7]. You seek this by praying to the Lord God to send rain and then lustrous grass to grow in the field. The love, blessings and favor of God, and the comfortable make discoveries of it.

“… his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain” Prov. 16:15

What awesome promises of God to drop fatness on the earth so that fruitfulness may abound and God Himself shall crown the year abundantly with His goodness

“You visit the earth, and waters it: thou greatly enriches it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou prepares them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. You waters the ridges thereof abundantly: You settles the furrows thereof: You makes it soft with showers: You blesses the springing thereof. You crowns the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing” Psalms 65:9-13

The Lord God visited his people, by the mission of his Son to redeem them, whose coming was as the rain, the former and latter, to the earth [Luke 1:68]; so God visited the Gentile world, by the preaching and teaching of the Gospel by his apostles, whose doctrines when it is internalized dropped as the rain, and distilled as the dew and small rain on the tender herb, and as showers on the grass; and so made the wilderness to become a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

The rain destined to come at time like this in great abundance, and the discoveries of it are to be asked for in prayers; in its effects, it softens and melts the heart of hardened men into evangelical repentance; it cools and extinguishes the flaming wrath of a fiery law in the conscience ridding us of evil conscience; it refreshes and revives the drooping spirit until the joy of the Lord settles in, and makes the barren soul to be abounding and fruitful: or the blessings of grace to flow down from the throne room of Grace.

ABUNDANCE AND FRUITFULNESS

The latter rain are to be sought after, and asked for; they are free grace gifts that are released abundantly when we have made requisition for it diligently by faith.

These blessings are given largely and plentifully, and make fruitful; spiritually speaking it makes the Lord of the Harvest Jesus Christ to come into our heart as the spirit of grace which is a free gift of God to men, that was sought after, and greatly desired, and to be desired, and we must be very grateful when Jesus come as the rain. It is the Lord spiritual coming into us in His power and release of kingdom in our hearts in this latter day. For emphasis sake it must be earnestly wished and prayed for.

Rain do help to fulfil divine direction helping us to chart a good course of sowing by the wisdom of God, sow aright; softens hard hearts; comforts the souls of God's people; and it is a blessing to be desired, and asked for; and will be enjoyed in great plenty in the latter day.

“And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground” Gen. 2:5-6

No matter the circumstances, when we are in need of water for the harvest to grow and abound with fruit, God will make adequate provision that we shall not lack and He will ensure that fruitfulness will abound because of adequate provision of water needed for growth and fruitfulness both as rain or dew/mist. This is so "that he may give to them (the children of men) corn to eat, and grass to the beasts in the field;''

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off” Isa. 55:10-13

Some way or another God will take care to water the plants that are of his own planting. God made a mist equivalent to a shower, and with it watered the whole face of the ground. Thus he chose to fulfil his purpose by the weakest means so that the excellence of the power might be of God. The New Testament saints are the planting of the Lord or the trees of Righteousness [Isa. 61:1] that God planted. In actuality, we are planted beside the Rivers of Life [Psalms 1, Rev. 22:1-3] and whatever we do because of the release of water of Life shall prosper. As we pray the Word of God will go forth to accomplish its purpose, it will not come back without fulfilling God’s desire

DIVINE SPEED

“And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel” 1 Kings 18:45-46

Elijah went to pray, though God had promised rain, he must ask it [Zech. 10:1], and to give thanks for God's answer by fire, now hoping for an answer by water.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive” Jer. 29:11-14

This is the picture of the current day Church of God. There is famine for a while now; it is the famine of knowing, hearing, understanding and standing by faith in the declared Word of God [Amos 8:11] that cannot fail but will surely come to pass except we refuse to seek for it in the place of prayer.

The good Lord is set to do wondrous things according to His many precious promises and good thoughts to bring His Church to His expected end and fulfil the prophecies that has been spoken over the body of Christ.

The process of birthing forth this, is for the Church to come to the place of birthing forth and groan in birth pangs [agonizing crying unto the Lord – Push in prayers until something happened] just like the agonizing, non-relenting and fervent prayers of Elijah that makes tremendous power for actualizing God’s word dynamic in its working. However we must pray from the vantage point of believing and trusting that God who promised will do as promised by faith for these kinds of prayers to produce expected end. Elijah un-concededly prayed not looking at the temporal drought for seven times until the hand of power of God showed forth in the sky and there was heavy rain.

Stay with me now, Elijah running with bare legs outran the chariot of king Ahab meaning that supernatural ability had been given to him as God’s divine power of the Holy Ghost [Acts 1:8] came upon his natural to make him supernatural in nature. The light affliction of famine was turned around and a superlative divine ability called exceeding and eternal weight of the glory of God given to him.

That is where the Church of God is matching up to on Mount Zion if we will dare ask God for the rain and tarry there until the hand of power of the Almighty Father shows up to save, deliver, heal and raise the comatose Church from Her slumbering position.

“And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed; for anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is said, "Wake up, sleeper, and rise from death, and Christ will shine on you."  Eph. 5:13-14

God shall bring the Church again into a state of knowledge, holiness, and comfort, assisting us with his grace, and refreshing our minds with joy and peace here and rewarding us with eternal glory at length if we will become circumspect and leave unfruitful works of darkness alone and come to the light of the spirit of wisdom and revelation knowledge of Christ “epignosis” whereby we can know the things freely given to us by the Word and the Spirit of God and in demanding for them in faith based [prayers, the Church can walk into the heartbeat of God for this season of greater works and understanding who we are in Christ Jesus. We must leave the arena of sin and death for Christ to give us light.

“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain… In a little while the sky was covered with dark clouds, the wind began to blow, and a heavy rain began to fall. Ahab got in his chariot and started back to Jezreel. The power of the LORD came on Elijah; he fastened his clothes tight around his waist and ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel” 1 Kings 18:41, 45-46 GNB

Truly, I hear the SOUND of abundance of Rain! The POWER of God is set to come upon you! Will you consecrate yourself and pray?

BE STILL!

BE STILL!

“In the reign of Ahaz son of Jotham, son of Uzziah king of Judah, Razon king of Aram advanced on Jerusalem with Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, to attack it; but he was unable to attack it. The House of David was informed: 'Aram has halted in Ephraimite territory.' At this, his heart and his people's hearts shook like forest trees shaking in the wind. Yahweh then said to Isaiah, 'Go out with your son Shear-Jashub, and meet Ahaz at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the road to the Fuller's Field, and say to him, "Pay attention and keep calm. Do not be FRIGHTENED or DEMORALISED by these two smouldering sticks of firewood, by the fierce anger of Razon, Aram and the son of Remaliah, or because Aram, Ephraim and the son of Remaliah have been plotting against you and saying: Let us mount an attack on Judah, destroy it, force it onto our side and install the son of Tabeel there as king. "Lord Yahweh says this: This will not happen, it will never occur” Isa. 7:1-7 NJB [Emphasis mine]

Often times we get confounded, frightened, faint hearted, disturbed, agitated, be afraid or lose hope when mountainous problems of life stare us in the face. We lose our composure, calmness and lose our focus that we have placed upon God just like Peter who after walking on water for a while had to sink because he was fearful, and like King Ahaz of Judah who seem to look at the military strength, number of soldiers and armory of the King of Syria and the king of Israel rather than looking at the bigness of his God who has all the military strength, power and thousands upon thousands of warring angels.

God had to send Prophet Isaiah and his son when the heart of king Ahaz and his people shook and tremble like a tree shook by tempestuous wind. The word of victory for king Ahaz from God was affirmative of His divine ability to save, deliver and give victory. God said this will not happen, it will never occur nor come to pass that king Ahaz will be defeated by the two goon kings. The Lord God was so sure of His promise to Ahaz through Isaiah that He said "I am the Lord your God. Ask me to give you a miraculous sign. It can be anything in the deepest grave or in the highest heaven". God was so sure of His promise of victory to king Ahaz that He spoke of Syria as already almost extinguished, and incapable of doing extensive injury.

"Be strong and brave. Don't be afraid of them. Don't be terrified because of them. The Lord your God will go with you. He will never leave you. He'll never desert you. Then I sent for Joshua. I spoke to him in front of all of the people of Israel. I said, "Be strong and brave. You must go with these people. They are going into the land the Lord promised with an oath to give to their fathers. You must divide it up among them. They will each receive their share. The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will never leave you. He'll never desert you. So don't be afraid. Don't lose hope" Deut. 31:6-8 NJB

The Word of God should be the anchor of our soul such that we do not lose hope of God’s promises or become weary in battles of life. How can we be defeated, put down or bewildered when the Captain of the Host of God is with us and the very Almighty God promised that He will go before us, will be with us, will never leave us nor ever desert all. The Lord our God is with us what can man do to us! Be brave and strong!

“He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand. Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews' speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city. And they spake against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man. And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven. And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword” 2 Chron. 32:17-21

When king Sennacherib of Assyria conquered Israel and carried them into captivity, he then threatened king Hezekiah of Judah, it was an all-out verbal abuse and warfare issue intended at frightening Hezekiah and meant to make him doubt the ability of his God to save and deliver him. However Hezekiah and Isaiah the prophet turned unto the Lord God with vehement pray and agonizing crying and their faith in God made Him to send an angel to cut off Sennacherib’s mighty men of valor therefore he returned home shame faced and one of his offspring slew him with a sword. When the enemy come against us like a flood, we must turn to the Lord for respite else fear will grip our hearts and the Spirit of God will not be able to lift up a standard against him on our behalf because faith has gone with the wind.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you” Phil. 4:8-9

Evil thought pattern will birth forth evil desires ending in evil results!  If our meditations are on things that are just, lovely, good report, virtue, praise and pure, the end result will be release of peace in our hearts and no agitation whatsoever. When you think of the goodness of Jesus, all He has done and all that He is well able to do, your faith will rise above misery and your faith will manifest.

God has promised us … Do not be dismayed … The Lord your God will go before you … The Lord is your helper what can man do against you … Though they come against you one way, they shall flee seven ways … A thousand may fall by your side, ten thousand on your right hand, it shall by no means hurt you … Whatever or whoever is born of God overcome the world … No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper … Be still, for the Lord thy God is with thee

WHAT DAVID HAD GOING FOR HIM

WHAT DAVID HAD GOING FOR HIM

David has a servant’s heart, he was skillful as a shepherd before that led to his promotion to be a king, and he had integrity; so God make him to prosper in all his endeavors.

Servant is a copulation of two words [serve-ant] which means to serve like ants serve selflessly in their colony. Skillfulness has to do with acquiring ability and competence to be the best in our chosen or God given activities; to have integrity has to do with honesty, truthfulness, honorable, dependable and reliability. In one word David had divine competence!

“He chose David also his SERVANT, and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. So he fed them according to the INTEGRITY of his heart; and guided them by the SKILLFULNESS of his hands” Psalms 78:70-72 [Emphasis mine]

David was described as a servant of God in the above scripture who serves God with all his heart and hereby qualified for prosperity because those that serve and obey God will spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure [Job 36:11].

“David cared for them with pure motives; he led them with skill” Psalms 78:72 NET Bible

David was skilled as a King and also as a shepherd because he had physical and divine abilities; he was clever, expert in his vocation and had God given talents which he used maximally. Looking at his many psalms he had an upright heart and his motives in kingship were pure. Many of us should go and sharpen our skills even if it is a vocational school in order to acquire better ability to excel.

"It is not the ship so much as the skillful sailing that assures the prosperous voyage." - George William Curtis

David had been as a shepherd, one who carries a staff in his hand, and guides his flock with it; and partly with respect to the acts and administration of government, which were wisely performed by him: he made wise laws for his people and soldiers, and put them in execution; he behaved wisely in the court and in the camp; but was greatly and infinitely exceeded by his antitype of Christ, the servant of the Lord, that should deal prudently [Isaiah 52:13], and who is abundantly qualified for it, as being not only the Wisdom of God, and the all wise God, but even, as Mediator, has the spirit of wisdom on him, and the treasures of wisdom in him. David therefore excelled in all his works as a shepherd, poet, priest, warrior and king.

Integrity is what you are like when no man was around. It is gotten from the mathematical word “integar” which means completeness or wholeness. A heart and life of integrity is consistent in one honest direction and he is not given to hypocrisy. He says what he means, he means what he says and not a double tongued person. When such people makes a promise, they keep it. If they commit a huge mistake, they admit it and if they believe in a cause, they support that cause with appropriate lifestyle.

There are three main areas where one may win or lose out in integrity and David excelled in all three. There is in the ability to govern those put under you aright and with the fear of the Lord; the integrity of the governance process may drain when finances drain, when extreme difficult challenges happens like David in Ziglag when his entire people were captured by the Amalekites and how he recovered all by leaning on the everlasting arm of the Lord. You may have to make tough and unpopular calls sometimes based on your understanding of God like David gave portions of spoils to folks who were too weary to go to war. David gave his word to Abigail not to destroy Nabal and that earned him respect and it was easy for Abigail to say yes when David asked for her hand in marriage after her husband Nabal died.

It is important that we walk aright in stewardship [faithful and wise steward – Luke 12:42] and accountability of all that God committed into our hands to manage on His behalf. Stewards is expected to be upon their watch and guard at all times [Mark 13:37]. Such have godly character and man their offices, work, dignity, duties and honor diligently and as unto the Lord. They are entrusted with the lives of men, storehouse provisions of his house or in their given vocation as officers; "faithfulness" and "wisdom" are mandatory in them; such must not corrupt and adulterate the word of God, and mix it with human doctrines, but that they deliver it out pure and sincere as it is; and the other, that they may rightly divide it, and wisely distribute it without prejudice, adding or subtracting from it

The failure to maintain high integrity in the stewardship process is a cancer that will destroy the integrity of all who find themselves in the service of the Most High God.

“Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?” 1 Chron. 29:2-5

David was prosperous in all realms not just financially but in government, war strategy, exercising of wisdom and he was strikingly rich and amassed wealth [check out 1 Chron. 22:3-5, 1 Chron. 22:14-16, 1 Chron. 28:14-18]. The way in which David trained the distressed, discontented and depressed four hundred men and turned them into mighty men of valor shows how he would have trained different men and women manning different posts in his government and how per excellence they would have excelled and administered very well in their vocations.

David was not given only the compliant, the submissive, the agreeable, and those broken-by-an-encounter with the "angel of the Lord" people to rule over. No, he had to lead the self-willed and the submissive. At one time the discouraged, distressed and disgruntled came to him and he trained them to become mighty men of valor.

The Psalm progresses as God choose David to be king over Israel, taking him from tending the sheep to the place where he "feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance". David had what it takes to fulfill his assignment and requirement for leaders having being well trained himself as a shepherd tending the flock. He had integrity, completeness, fullness, innocence, simplicity, uprightness, and perfection. David was not flawless, but he was mature and whole.

As leaders, we must understand that the opposite of integrity is corruption, dishonesty or fraudulence. We need to be people of wholeness - without cracks or inconsistencies between what we say and who we are; we need to walk in pursuit of healing and wholeness so that what flows out of us in godly, innocent and without guile. As leaders, our hearts must be whole, not seared or hardened by sin or the wounds of the past; our desires must be pure, not looking after our own interests, but after the best interest of those we are called to lead. We must be people of excellence in knowledge, understanding, council, and wisdom. As leaders, we are to lead, to guide, to bring, to govern, even to straighten out when out of course with reality and right course. We cannot be timid or overbearing in leading, but we must lead and guide with the gentility, humility and meekness found in Christ.

Leaders must have understanding, intelligence, skill, insight, discernment, and knowledge that is needed to teach, lead, and guide according to the Lord's good pleasure if they want to excel and be prosperous. As leaders, we must always be in pursuit of improving our skills and understanding of the ways of our vocation and the ways of the Lord; and be found in the ways of excellence in everything we do. David is worthy of our very best -- and the people we are set in place to lead need us to be filled with great skill. We must be determined to see Christ's kingdom advanced and His life demonstrated -- serving our generation according to the will of God even as David did. (Acts 13:36)

WORD OF WISDOM ON FEAR

WORD OF WISDOM ON FEAR

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him…But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows” Luke 12:4-5, 7

Fear is a powerful emotional instrument that Satan uses and take advantage of because it makes us extremely vulnerable to spiritual attacks. Jesus Christ Himself knew that even His disciples had their moments that they battled with fear just like we do today. Looking at the above scripture, it is obvious that God is watching over us all at all times or continually.

Lack of faith and lack of the fear of God cumulates in fear, it shows we distrusts God but trust someone or something else. Fear often dictates wrong feelings and behavior to us and we cannot walk in power, authority, boldness and victory until we are free from fear.

Truth known sets us free so Satan feeds his stooges with lies and hereby keep them ensnared or in bondage, and helpless in resisting him. Satan appears to be stronger than who he is by discrediting God in every way, making us to doubt God’s divine abilities and uttering lying allegations against God just like he did to Adam and Eve. Satan’s pack of lies includes bringing us into condemnation over sins we have stopped committing and have repented of or pack of lies concerning financial inability to pay our bills especially those who bought car and houses on credit and unable to pay their monthly notes. Satan even condemn people by saying that they are not giving enough of their time and money to the works of the Church. Remember he is the father of lies and magnifies things greater than what they really are!

That you will not fear sometimes is an understatement! We all feel nervous or unstable emotionally when we need to give a public speech, attend a job interview, go out on a date for the very first time with a lady or even nervousness felt while writing examinations. We must lean on the everlasting arm of God who told Joshua “as I was with Moses, so I will be with you”, and no man shall be able to stand against us. We have been commanded to be courageous and to be bold for the Lord our God is with us. We have love, power and sound mind and graced with ability to do right and make good judgments; our thought life has been disciplined by the Word of God and we are completely secure in God’s love protection and in His great ability to meet our needs. God is our redeemer, fortress, shelter, provider and grace releaser! Trust God who is our refuge in the time of temptations and His grace has taught us to deny all ungodliness!

The Holy Spirit will readily help us to discover the root cause of fear and also lay the ax of faith upon it so that we can be liberated from its tormenting powers. It is vitally important to allow God to search you and know your hearts so that you can repent and do the first works of holiness and righteousness. [Rev. 2:2-7]

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” Psalms 139:23-24

Be careful not to be in environment that causes fear or be involved in activities that cause fear for example constantly watching horror movies We must constantly hand over our traumatic experiences to the Lord to wipe away their memories from our heart else it will be an instrument in the hand of Satan to harass or buffet you. Give your life wholly to the Sun of righteousness with healing wings who is well able to fan off from your heart the sweat of horror and fearful agonies.

Do not believe the lie of the devil, you are a new creation in Christ, old sins and lifestyle, bondages and fears are gone, you are new in all ramifications of life in Christ Jesus. Pray always and God will answer and set you free!

The anointing of God is set to deliver you from both trauma and guilt. Trauma is a stronghold in your heart having feared because of an incident, accident like reminiscences of dog bite or car accident. God is well able to heal and deliver us so that we no longer live in the present in torment or respond to something nasty that happened in the past.

When you do something wrong in the past, the guilty conscience can be fresh in you as at when it actually happened like abortion or any dark hidden area of darkness that we are not proud of that we were involved in like homosexual activities before you were born again. Such folks are held captive by shame and fear. Commit these to God in prayer and repentance. Since there is no peace unto the wicked, you will not have peace until you have acknowledged and confessed your transgression and exit that lifestyle.

Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Even when others reject, disapprove or openly show contempt to you and try to keep you in bondage to your past sinful lifestyle, let them know that your sins have been forgiven and you are a free man in Christ [1 John 1:9; Psalms 51:1-4]. He who the Son set free is free indeed!

Some people may need the help of Christian counselor or ministers of God to better explain the Word of Liberty to them, pray for them or deal with the stronghold of fear in their lives. Do not be shy to seek help from the Lord through anointed and godly ministers. Some temptations ensnares and become addictive in nature like narcotic drug use or sexual sins or perversions like bisexuality or pornography, so do not fight the battle alone. Seek help! Kings don’t fight alone!

Make restitution where necessary. Seek help when necessary please! Expose your nasty secret habits as led by the Spirit so that you can be helped! Do not allow Satan to lie to you, once you repented accept God’s forgiveness by faith. Be disciplined or accept disciplinary measures meted to you without being rebellious knowing that it is the road ordained for you to pass in order to be emotionally healed and set free completely.

WHEN THE LORD TURNED THE CAPTIVITY OF ZION

WHEN THE LORD TURNED THE CAPTIVITY OF ZION

“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing…The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south…” Psalms 126:1-4

Outside the confine of Zion, we were slaves to the elements of the world and the ruler of the dark world called Satan. We were brought out of the prison, trouble and woe by marked deliverances so that sorrow can give room to joy and goodness of the Lord that seems too good and great to be true. The greatness of the deliverance matched the greatness of the captivity; Liberty and jubilee replaced Captivity and multitude of grave and painful life experiences. It takes the release of the burden removing and yoke destroying power of God contained in the anointing to effect this change and turn around our captivity.

“The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me to bring good news to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to announce release to captives and freedom to those in prison. He has sent me to proclaim that the time has come When the LORD will save his people and defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn, to give to those who mourn in Zion Joy and gladness instead of grief. A song of praise instead of sorrow. They will be like trees that the LORD himself has planted. They will all do what is right, And God will be praised for what he has done” Isa 61:1-3 GNB

We must have clear cut understanding that this is the work of the Lord, least any man boast. God has released authority, power, dominion and ability to rule and reign to the believers in this latter days so that God can effect a change in a jiffy hereby setting the captives free and releasing the bondages of my people.

The scenario is so gladdening and quick change that the goodness and mercy of the Lord looks as a dream; the great grace and favor of the Lord appeared so great and very favorable. There is great release of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that it is likened to the torrent streams of the south flowing down with rapidity from the mountain peaks.

The first thing we do in spring time is to begin a spiritual purging and cleansing with the refiners fire and the fullers soap [Malachi 3:2-3] so that right standing with God and holiness can unclog our pipes and the water of the spirit for the washing of the water by the Word of the Lord can flow unceasingly!

There is accumulation of Pentecost and the Charismatic grace with the young men seeing awesome vision and the old men dreaming dreams. The former and the latter rain flowing down together and vital prophetic words of the Lord being fulfilled right, left and center. Obviously light is taking over from darkness and the power of darkness is being greatly overthrown. Abundance of corn, NEW wine and oil of the Lord flows to attest to the fact that it is the season of the outpouring of the Holy Ghost [Joel 2:18-28].

“Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad [Ps. 126:2-3]

The Lord has turned around our captivity, oil of joy is flowing in the stead of mourning and exiles is being turned around for ecstasy, agonies give way to the pleasures of the Lord, banishment left for bliss, our abodes have become the Garden of the Lord and strange grace are being released to the remnant who now reigns as priests and kings unto our God. Dominion mandate and great access for fellowshipping with God, worship and grace to seek God on behalf of others have been released to the body of Christ.

“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD” Psalms 40:1-3

Suddenly, God has brought us out of the valley of despondency where calamity, trials and temptations almost swallowed us up. But when it seem we have lost hope God SUDDENLY showed up and turn things around such that when men see the awesome release of spiritual impartation, grace gifts, prophetic unction, favor, grace, glory and blessings, they marvel at the ability of God to save, heal, deliver, bless and they come to serve and trust in our God whose right hand has done valiantly and bring us in to a wealthy place of which we are glad.

“I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it” Isa 41:18-20

Figuratively the river of the south flows from the throne of God, and of the Lamb; and of His river of pleasure he makes his people to drink, the streams whereof make glad the city of our God; likewise the fullness of grace in his Son, whose grace is as rivers of water in a dry land, exceeding abundant, and very refreshing; also the graces of his Spirit, which he gives in great abundance, and are those rivers of water he causes to flow forth from them that believe in Christ, in the comfortable exercise of them.

We…”shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures” [Psalms 36:8]. These are the blessings of conversion, redemption, and salvation; as well as divine exchange from curse to blessings, poverty to wealth and riches, sickness to divine healing, barrenness to fruitfulness, mourning to rejoicing and from shame and reproach to honor and great grace.

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goes forth and weep, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” Psalms 126:5-6

We are not of them that draws back into perdition but of those who laboriously through faith and patience inherited the promises of God. Men had ridiculed us and say “where is your God” in these times of distress, pain and agony? Our waiting upon the Lord has been like excruciating pain and pounding on the grape until the juice and the chaff is separated but we stayed and trusted God and He eventually cause us to have a bountiful harvest.

Job, and Joseph, and David, and many others, had harvests of joy after a time of sorrowful seeding. Those that sow in the tears of godly sorrow shall reap in the joy of a sealed pardon and a settled peace. Those that sow to the spirit, in this gorge of tears, shall of the spirit reap life everlasting, and that will be a joyful harvest indeed. Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be forever comforted. We shall reap the incorruptible if we faint not!

Also a faithful minister of God, sooner or later, is blessed with converts, who will be his joy and crown of rejoicing on the day of reckoning. Like Jesus they will be able to say “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me and finish his work.  [John 4:35].
Suddenly your story has changed for good! You are no more in incarceration, prison or dungeon of the evil one but has come into liberty or freedom just like Peter was delivered from the prison of Herod by the Angel of God [Acts 12:9].

The Lord has SUDDENLY come into us [New Testament Saints as the Holy Ghost] with great pomp and glory to continue the works of God in and through us. Joseph woke up in the dungeon one day and went about his daily chores as usual not knowing that it was the day that his liberty will be effected. He ended up the Prime Minister of Egypt on that day, riding the second chariot of Pharaoh and living like a King. Suddenly your season of “just like a dream” has come.

Do remember that who the Son sets free is free indeed!
