GOD'S KIND OF FAITH

GOD’S KIND OF FAITH

And Jesus, answering, said to them, HAVE GOD’S FAITH. Truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be put into the sea; and has no doubt in his heart, but has faith that what he says will come about, he will have his desire. For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it. Mark 11:22-24 BBE [emphasis mine]

Take hold on God's faithfulness … Mark 11:22 Montgomery New Testament

Believers must habitually have trust and confident expectation and assurance of good which has its source in God the Almighty. They must continue to possess faith which is God’s kind by relying on and embracing the same wonder of declaring His Word under the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit to birth forth the precious promises of God! We are sent to declare His word under the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit so that it can be recorded “thy will be done on earth as it has been done in heaven”.

God is the source of the power to change or birth forth something new or great if we believe that with God all things are possible to him that believes. Moving a mountain is a common emblem of doing something that appears to be impossible. We must have faith that whatever we as saints ask God for will be granted us if it lines up with His will. God is forever faithful, He cannot deny Himself. If you believe, you can walk on water, raise the dead, cast out demons and act as god who is crowned with glory and honor and have dominion over all other God’s creation on earth [Psalms 8:4-6; 82:6]. Many of the patriarchs that acted in great faith like Abraham, David, Daniel and Paul were men of like passion but they have strong faith in God

“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” Hebrews 11:1 AMP

Faith is being sure of the things that we hope for and knowing that all things are real and accessible in God even if we have not seen it with our naked eyes. We must have strong faith in the ability of God to provide, save and deliver. God started to reveal Himself to us after our born again experience so that we can know and have faith in His divine ability. We will be able to move mountains with the God kind of words that we speak and faith that we exhibit! Believers must have a strong belief that he is able to accomplish things that appear most difficult with infinite ease, as the fig-tree was made to wither away by the spoken word of Jesus [Mark 11:12-14, 20-21].

“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. FOR WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her… And BLESSED IS SHE THAT BELIEVED: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.  Luke 1:34-38, Luke 1:45  [emphasis mine]

There were many things spoken to Mary the mother of Jesus by angels which she pondered, mused, meditated and considered in her heart and these things were eventually birthed because she believe in God that promised even as she said “let it be unto me according to thy word [Luke 1:35-45]. To flourish or prosper is constant in the lives of those who take hold of the word of God until faith for actualization is birthed in them.

The Holy Spirit will come upon us and the power of the Highest will overshadow us if we believe in the spoken word. The word of God is potent enough to cause the barren like Elizabeth to conceive, the lame like that at Gate beautiful to walk and the dead like the son of the Shunnamite woman to be raised from the dead. Where the word of God is spoken by faith, divine power is released to bring it to pass.

“Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day” Joshua 10:12-13

Joshua the son of Nun is a good example of man that believed God for the natural impossible occurrences and God did not disappoint him. Even at midnight after he decreed, the sun stood still shinning so that Joshua can have all night victory over the enemy of Israel in battle.

Jesus showed that He had that kind of faith, for He believed that what He said would come to pass. He said to the tree, “No man eat fruit of you hereafter forever”. The God kind of faith is the kind of faith in which a man believes with his heart and says with his mouth that which he believes in his heart, and it comes to pass.

Jesus “is the author (originator) and finisher (perfector) of our faith” Hebrews 12:2

If we get close to Jesus, in Him is all that we need. Remember He is Word of God. Spending time with Jesus in fellowship and in His word; and working in order to become more intimate with Him through the Holy Spirit is a great start in getting this “God kind of faith”.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Rom 10:17

This is the kind of faith that spoke the world into existence was displayed by God in the beginning through the Holy Spirit as He spoke those things which be not as though they were. By the word of God, the world was framed.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” Hebrews 11:3

After all the acts of faith which have ever been exercised in this world, perhaps there is none which is really more strong, or which requires higher confidence in God, than the declaration that this vast universe has been brought into existence by the Word of God!
How did He do it? God believed that what He said would come to pass. He spoke the word and there was an earth. He spoke into existence the plant and the animal kingdom. He spoke into existence the heavens as well as the earth, the moon, the sun, the stars and the universe. He said it and it was so. That is the God kind of faith. He believed what He said would come to pass and it did.

That is why the Holy Spirit was heavily present in the very beginning [Genesis 1:2] so that He who has the power of the Godhead can reorder the perturbed situation on planet earth as God declared the Word “Let there be…” and there was. The promises of God can only be birthed through the Spirit by believers who trusted in God and exercise their faith in order to receive from the throne room of grace.

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:2-4

Everything that we will ever need on this planet can be assessed through the awesome power of God that gives us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. All things that pertains to life and godliness has been given to us all to enjoy if we will stand and access them by faith and through the knowledge of God that call us to partake of glory and virtue. These precious promises accessed by faith is what empowers us to partake of the divine nature of God.

Believers must take time to truly know God so that we can know who we are and what we have in Him [Daniel 11:32]. This is the only way that we can through faith assess the realm of impossibilities as we escape the corruption that is in this world through lust. Remember even Jesus Christ declared that we are graced to do His kind of works and greater things.

Paul said that we have the same spirit of faith. And what belonged to the Church at Corinth belongs to the Church today. Where there is true faith, and the true Spirit of faith, there will be a speaking of, for in the name of Christ and a potent manifestation of the word declared.

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak” 2 Cor. 4:13

The key to the God kind of faith is believing with the heart and confessing with the mouth. The words we speak can make us victors or keep us captives depending whether the words are faith filled or doubt, unbelief, anxiety, worry and fear filled. God has not given us a spirit of fear but the spirit of power, of love, and a sound mind [2 Timothy 1:7]. Anything which is not of faith is sin [Romans 14:23], that is why anyone that depart from the living God by not trusting and believing in God is described as having an evil heart of unbelief. We must hold on to the end our confidence steadfast unto the end.

“Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; While it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation” Hebrews 3:12-15

We must have a firm and well-grounded belief in the doctrines of the Gospel, and person of Christ; and therefore speak freely, and without any doubt and hesitation about these things, boldly, and without the fear of men, and sincerely and faithfully, as in the sight of God declare faith in His ever true and potent word by the Spirit.

Grace which is unearned merit of God gives us access to the free gift and blessings that God gives if we access them by faith. This is the only way that the realization of what God had promised could be certain. This part of Paul's argument therefore further exalts faith as the only method of justification, sanctification and glorification. Faith is devotedly reaching out in total dependence upon God. To the end that the promise of God might be sure to all the seed and to the Gentiles, who though they are not by natural descent from Abraham, yet are of the same faith with him, and so are his seed in a spiritual sense: Any believer that exercises the kind of faith that Abraham exercised will also get good results that he got and will be counted as righteous also.

FAITH AS OF OLD

The word "faith" occurs some twenty-five times in Hebrews Chapter 11 alone. Some seventeen people are mentioned as examples of what faith in God accomplished. Let us look at some of God’s Hall of Fame men of faith.

In Abel, we have the worship of faith. In Enoch, the walk of faith.

In Noah, the witness of faith. In Abraham, the wandering of faith.

In Sarah, the waiting of faith. In Moses, the work of faith.

In Gideon’s life, we have the battle of faith and sure victory in God. The song of faith given us by Barak, the supplications of faith by David, the sweet singer of Israel, and the singleness of faith as made known in Samuel. Through flood and fire, stones and swords, destitution and death, affliction and torment, God delivered His people who honored Him by believing in His divine ability. God answered Elijah’s prayer by performing supernatural feat through him by releasing fire from Heaven, consuming an altar of wood, stone, sacrifice and water, then answered his faith by sending a downpour of rain upon a parched and destitute country.

What a joy to read about Daniel, a young man whose faith towered above all others, just as Mount Zion towers above all other mountains in the world. Nothing was able to intimidate the faith of Daniel. The threatening of an enemy could not shake him; the prospect of the lion’s den did not move him from his course. Daniel had faith in God. Sacred scriptures records that God did not fail him.

CRITERIA FOR STRONG FAITH

When George Mueller began his mighty work of prayer, he based his faith upon the promises of God. At first he prayed, then waited for God’s answer, then gave thanks. But as he read and re-read these words, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them", he began thanking God for His answer even at the time the request was made; his “giving glory to God” brought answers to his prayers from the throne room of grace. If we pray in faith believing and declaring answer by faith, we shall have what we petitioned for.

“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quicken the dead, and call those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness” Romans 4:16-22

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bring forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” Psalms 1:2-3 [also Joshua 1:8; Luke 2:19]

CLOSING WORDS

These are days when we need to have our faith strengthened, when we need to know God. God has designed that the just shall live by faith. Any man can be changed by faith, no matter how he may be fettered. I know that God’s word is sufficient. One word from Him can change a nation. His word is from everlasting to everlasting. It is through the entrance of this everlasting Word, this incorruptible seed, that we are born again, and come into this wonderful salvation. Man cannot live by bread alone, but must live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. This is the food of faith. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God

We must exercise unshakably faith for God has chosen, anointed and given us dominion, power and authority on earth realm and we must in our office as ambassadors of God declare His kingdom to come and be established on planet earth; only then shall this earth realm become the kingdom of our God.
