SUPREMACY OF CHRIST
For the full content of divine nature lives
in Christ, in His humanity, and you have been given full life in union with
Him. He is SUPREME over every spiritual ruler and authority…And on the
cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and
authorities; He made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in
His victory procession. Colossians 2: 9, 10, 15 Good News Bible
For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the
Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the
divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of
life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead-Father, Son and Holy
Spirit- and reach full spiritual statute]. And He is the HEAD OF ALL RULE AND
AUTHORITY [of every angelic principality and power]…disarmed the
principalities and powers that were raged against us and made a bold
display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it
[the cross] Colossians
2: 9, 10, 15 Amplified
The first Adam lost the grace of dominion
and authority that was given to us (Genesis 1: 26-28) but the second Adam came
such that the dominion and authority can be given back to the original owner
that means you and I. God gave us ability to dominate, rule and subdue all
natural and spiritual birds, fishes and animals and Jesus came in the likeness
of man in order to take back that authority and eventually hand it over to mankind
the original owner.
Children of God are being ridden and kept
in captivity, incarceration and demonic bondage today because we are ignorant
of the supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ and of course the power, authority
and spiritual energies available unto us through the Lord Jesus.
Who hath delivered us from the power of
darkness…Colossians
1: 13 KJV (Read Coll. 1: 15 -19)
Jesus Christ is not only our hope that is
joyful expectation of the future and our confident anticipation of good BUT He
is also the one who has delivered us from the power of darkness through the process
of salvation, currently He continues to deliver us when we are entangled and
will yet deliver us in the future in case we fall into the snare of the fowler
(2 Corinthians 1: 10).
The enslaving force from which Christ has
delivered us is called the power of darkness, the word “power” also means
authority, dominion and control. Living Bible reads,…out of the darkness
and gloom of Satan’s kingdom. Please note that Jesus has delivered us
from the power of sin and also from the control and domineering effect of
Satan’s kingdom. When Satan fell, one third of the heavenly angels fell with
him and they are now known as demons, principalities and powers, wicked spirits
in heavenly places and cosmic powers of this Dark Age. These spirits are very
wicked and they are ones that Satan uses to keep in bondage and hold in
captivity mankind including Christians who played into his hand and fall
through his tricks, wiles, ploys and schemes.
So, consistently we see two kingdoms that
is the kingdom of
God kingdom of Satan kingdom of God
One of the ways that Jesus Christ showed
His supremacy is by disintegrating Satan’s work as testified by John the
beloved…For this purpose the son of man was manifested, that He might destroy
the works of the devil (1 John 3: 8), that is to tear down, demolish, crumble
and break down every of his works.
Satan is a liar and a known deceiver, and
he holds his kingdom together through deception. He tempts men through the “deceitfulness
of riches” (Matt. 13: 22 ),
he lures through the deceitful lusts of their human nature (Eph. 4: 22 ), worries of this life (which
Jesus Christ taught us not to think about) and ignorance of the word of God
like he did with Eve. Please note that he has mastered the craft of
deception to the extent that “if it were possible, they shall deceive
the very elect” (Matt. 24: 24).
Discernment is a very important virtue for
ministers in this end time if you are to stand against being deceived by the
devil. Imaginations, thoughts and reasoning which are inconsistent with the
word of God which Satan will interject into your mind may get you to walk in
the flesh and be entangled if you are not careful and standing on the word of
life.
How God ANOINTED Jesus Christ of
Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power, who went about doing good,
and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10: 38).
Whenever you see two lions fighting one have
to finally run away from the other because of the superior power of his claws
and sharp teeth, Please let it sink into your brain that Jesus Christ is the
Lion of the tribe of Judah
Jesus had the ability to set free the
Gadarene demoniac with the word of His power; He interrupted the funeral
procession of the son of the Nain widow and restored life to him (Luke 7:
11-15) and I see Him calling forth every thing that represents Lazarus and dead
in your life and ministry to resurrect now!
“So ought not this woman, being a daughter
of Abraham, whom Satan has bound-think of it-for eighteen years, be loosed from
this bond on the Sabbath?” Luke 13 16 KJV
This lady has been in church for donkey
years, by now she would have become a deaconess or in charge of the prayer band
but also bound by the devil UNTIL one with the superior power of the Holy Ghost
steeped in and she was delivered!
Satan’s greatest power was the power of
death and Jesus annulled, obliterated, and invalidated that weapon.
…that through death, He might destroy him
that had the power of death, that is , the devil; And deliver them who through
fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2: 14-15

The word destroy here is “katargeo” which
means “to make of no effect, to render powerless or to reduce to zero.
Literarily it means Jesus reduced to zero Satan’s ultimate power over the
saints-the power of the fear of death and also the power of death! Death has no
hold over you if you have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. You now have
Zoe-Eternal life!
Satan thought he had Jesus when He died on
the cross but that was the route that Jesus needed to pass in order to collect
back the keys of the gate of Hell and I dare say every other keys that he has
been using to hold precious children of God in bondage.
After three days in hell, the Father
bellowed Jesus come forth!!!, Jesus turned to the Devil and said…Devil
you heard the Father give me the keys… and so through death Jesus Christ
destroyed that that had the power of death (Rev. 1: 18), that is the
devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage (Hebrews 2: 14-15).
And having spoiled principalities
and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2: 15 KJV
The word spoiled is apekduomai, which means
to divert wholly or to despoil. It was with full understanding that Paul
declared that by the time of Christ Ascension He divested Satan of every
position and every vestige of power that God has given him before his expulsion
from heaven. Jesus called for a parade and He de-robed Satan of all that he
prided himself in. Jesus stood before Satan and declared …Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of Christ:
for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God
day and night (Rev. 12: 10).. Jesus stripped Satan of all his power and declared…I
saw Satan like lightening falling from heaven (Luke 10: 18 ). My friend, Satan is a defeated foe.
After this defeat Jesus Christ declared…all
power in heaven and on earth has been given to me (Matt. 28: 18) AND He
now turned to you and I and proclaimed…Behold, I give unto you power to
tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy, and
NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU!!!
Who is the image of the invisible
God, the firstborn of every creature. For by Him were all things created,
that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they
be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were
created by Him and for Him…For it pleases the Father that in Him should all
fullness dwell. Colossians
1: 15-16, 19 KJV
It is not possible for Jesus who created
Satan to be dominated by Satan. A potter can do whatever he likes with the clay
and the clay cannot and must not complain. David the King of Israel understood
the Kingship of Christ and His divine ability to save, deliver, enthrone and
overthrow as He wishes, so in his fight against Goliath, he boldly declares
that the battle is the Lord’s and that victory is assured. What is your confession
when you are ensnared or when the enemy comes against you like a flood? Don’t
you know that the Spirit of Christ will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah
59: 19)
Satan and his kingdom are defeated. All of
his power has been stripped from him; his authority has been transferred to the
Lord Jesus. He is now under the ruler-ship of the Kingdom of God
God…hath in these last days spoken unto us
by His Son, whom he hath appointed HEIR of all things, by whom also he made the
worlds; Who being the brightness of His glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE of His
person, and upholding all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER…Hebrews 1: 3 KJV
Christ now rules with unlimited authority.
He is not subject to any senate committee, parliament, congress or any
governing body. He it is who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of
God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. (1 Peter 3:
22). The word of His Power which is also the Voice of the Lord is powerful
(Psalm 29), and full of majesty. It breaks the cedars, divides the flame of
fire, shakes the wilderness and it confronts any and every principalities and
negative spiritual forces that may stand against you. OUR LORD IS ABLE! If He
bears the image of the Father, then He wields the power of the Father and there
is no other powers including that of Satan that can stand against the power of
God. Your deliverance from captivity is eminent, a surety and guaranteed if you
will turn to the Lord who is the Spirit. The LORD is that Spirit and wherever
the Spirit of the LORD is LORD, there is liberty, freedom and independence from
the sphere of captivity (2 Corinthians 3).
Jesus declared to Satan, you were the
accuser of the brethren BUT NOW, I am their Counselor (Isa. 9: 6); You used to
be the angel of light BUT NOW I am the light of the world (John 8: 12); you used
to be an effective hinderer BUT NOW I am their helper (Psalms 63: 7). You used
to inflict them with sickness and diseases BUT NOW I am their healer (Matt. 8:
17); You had been the adversary of my people BUT NOW I am their advocate (I
John (1 John2: 1); You use to steal, kill and destroy them BUT NOW I am come
that they may have life and have it more abundantly. You use to keep them in
captivity BUT NOW I am come that they might be free because he who the Son set
free shall be free indeed. Finally you use to be the prince of this world BUT
NOW “I am the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORDS OF LORDS”
Christ is King of truth, King of salvation,
king of grace, king of peace, king of righteousness, king of glory, Eternal
king, and the king of Kings!!!

You must allow this to sink in deep into
your Spirit-man, know that when Jesus defeated Satan at the cross, positionally
and by faith you have defeated him. He is the promised Messiah that was
prophesied to CRUSH the head of Satan (Genesis 3: 15 ) When Jesus conquered the Spirit of fear of death,
you also were delivered from the Spirit of the fear of death. You have been
delivered from the kingdom of darkness; as long as you have not romancing with
the devil through sin you will be like the Lord Jesus who said that …the
prince of this world cometh but he had nothing in me. Jesus was saying
I keep my self holy, pure, chaste and righteous to the point that there is nothing
for Satan to accuse me because I always do those things that pleases the
Father! Do you have the same testimony! That if Satan comes to captivate you
that you do not have NEGATIVE SPIRITUAL SENSOR that he can use to remote
control you and hereafter keep you in bondage!
Even then, the Lord Jesus is yet able to
set you free because He holds all the power in His hand
If the son therefore shall make you free,
ye shall be free indeed John 8: 36 KJV
So if the Son liberates you [makes you free
men] then you are really and unquestionably free. John 8: 36

Can you hold on to faith and trust Him to
deliver you even now? He is able, to save those who trust in and come to Him.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever
believeth on Him shall not be ashamed...For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10: 11 , 13 KJV.
